Limited Lifetime Warranty

Fluxlight provides a non-transferable serviceable lifetime warranty to the purchaser of Fluxlight hardware product purchased from Fluxlight or an authorized Fluxlight reseller. Fluxlight warrants to the original end customer of its products specified below that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship affecting form, fit, and function. All such products sold will work in the application specified at the time of purchase and will meet the datasheet specifications as found on Fluxlight’s Web site or otherwise provided by Fluxlight. Any claim alleging that any product fails to conform to the foregoing may be made only by the customer who purchased such product and only while such customer owns such product and while the product remains within the serviceable lifetime period. Fluxlight, at its option, will repair, replace, or provide a credit or refund of either the original purchase price or fair market value, whichever is lower, of any product that is determined by Fluxlight to be defective. Some systems that use Fluxlight products may be allowed to operate outside of the system manufacturer’s published settings and Fluxlight does not cover failure in these circumstances. This warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and do not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature, or improper installation or improper operation or repairs made by anyone other than Fluxlight or an Fluxlight authorized third-party service provider. Fluxlight reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts.

Except as listed below, all Fluxlight parts including Transceivers designed to reach less than 70 kilometers will carry a 10 year serviceable lifetime from the date of purchase from a Fluxlight authorized distributor. With respect to all Transceivers that are designed to reach 70 kilometers or further, or for any custom made Fluxlight part, the serviceable lifetime is 5 years.

With respect to non-Fluxlight-branded products, any warranty is provided by the original manufacturer and not by Fluxlight. These products may only be returned in accordance with the return policy in effect for the original manufacturer. The warranties and technical support may vary from product to product.

This constitutes Fluxlight’s entire liability which will never exceed the price paid. 

Limitations. THE PRODUCTS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED FOR USE AS CRITICAL COMPONENTS IN LIFE SUPPORT DEVICES OR SYSTEMS. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN, FLUXLIGHT MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND FLUXLIGHT DISCLAIMS AND NEGATES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, CONFORMITY TO MODELS OR SAMPLES, OR ANY WARRANTIES OR INDEMNITIES AGAINST INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN NO EVENT SHALL FLUXLIGHT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ALL DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE LIMITED WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN (CUSTOMER DISPUTES) SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS. CLAIMS AGAINST FLUXLIGHT FOR SHORTAGES SHALL BE DEEMED WAIVED IF NOT MADE WITHIN THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE SHIPMENT.
 

Return Policy:

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail once we have received and processed the returned item request. The applicable return policy followed is one of the following:
 
Return for refund
FluxLight customers may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. FluxLight, Inc. pays the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
 
Return of working products after 30-days
After 30 days from delivery, FluxLight does not generally accept returns other than for products known to have failed. That being said, we understand that occasionally circumstances change resulting in a customer having purchased products they no longer require. Requests for return for refund in such situations are handled on a case-by-case basis. In all accepted requests, any refund awarded will be net of a fee covering any of the following that may be applicable:

  • Inspection and testing
  • Re-stocking
  • Liquidation
 
At a minimum, for unopened items in their original packaging, a fee of 20% of the purchase price is applied for inspection and re-stocking. Product that has been opened and appears to have been handled outside its original package can not be returned to stock and sold as new. Such product must be tested and liquidated, usually resulting in recovery of a fraction of its original purchase price. The amount of the return fee will be calculated solely by FluxLight and deducted from the original purchase price to determine any refund value.
 
Return for repair/replacement 
FluxLight, Inc. backs its products with full replacement (non-prorated replacement) warranty. If a part appears not to function properly, customers must return the part with a 'test report' showing it does not function or contact FluxLight customer service and discuss the issue. If we test the module as fully functional, FluxLight Inc. reserves the right to charge for shipping, handling and labor.

In all return scenarios, all returned products must have a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number assigned by FluxLight, Inc. The following apply the RMA process:

  • The RMA number(s) must be prominently displayed on the outside of the box.
  • RMA numbers are valid for 15 days after the day of issuance.
  • Returned goods must be shipped freight prepaid in their original boxes and packing material.
  • A copy of your packing list/invoice must accompany all returned Products.
  • Returned goods should be freight insured by you.
  • Product returned to you under Warranty is shipped freight-prepaid via FedEx or other carrier at our discretion.
